Badal Mahal

Famous for its intricate designs and architecture, Badal Mahal is a beautiful place to visit while in the city - the palace is made from Dawra stone, close to Gap Sagar Lake and was built in two stages. Maharawal Gopinath built the ground floor with the verandah and later Maharawal Punjraj made the first floor and the mesmerising dome on top.

Gap Sagar Lake

The man made reservoir was built by Maharaj Gopinath or Gaipa Rawal in the year 1428 A.D. and has been a great symbol of pride for the nearby localities - the place has literature pieces, historical evidence, local legends and stories associated with the lake. The place is pious for local people as they perform rituals on the bank. Shrinathji Temple

A temple consecrated in the year 1623 A.D. by Maharawal Punjraj, the place is an ideal destination to visit for taking the blessings of Shri Radhikaji and Govardhannathji - it's been believed the words of Pushti Marg inspired the ruler to build the temple. The place has many architectural facts to explore and read.

Juna Mahal

Standing on a high platform made from Dawra stones, Juna Mahal is the most gigantic and dominating landscape monument of Dungarpur that was built in the 13th century and later faced varied renovations by each passing generation of rulers and kings. It might look a little rusty from outside but the interiors are very well maintained to explore.
